Riders can now experience perhaps the ultimate African adventure - exploring the vast wilderness of the Okavango Delta on horseback. Gallop with one of the many herds of wildebeest and zebra, ride past elephants, splash through the lagoons of the Okavango or simply watch the setting sun whilst listening to the roar of lions.
Qualified guides will lead you on this journey, sharing with you their intimate knowledge of the wilderness. The safaris ride out from Macatoo, a small, comfortably furnished, tented camp with en-suite showers and toilets.
Groups are small, normally around 6 people. The horses are well-mannered and in excellent condition. From Arab crossbreeds to large Hanoverian thoroughbreds, there is a horse to suit everyone, with a choice of comfortable English or Western styled saddles. Other seasonal activities include game drives, walks, canoeing and fishing..
